Top 3 sack leaders heading into Week 11

Who has claimed the sack leader position?

#3 - Harold Landry III - 10 sacks

Myles Garrett and T.J. Watt have pulled ahead in this week's sack count, but Harold Landry is not letting them push too far ahead. This week, he added another sack to his count.

Landry has been such a stout part of the Titans' defense and has logged half a sack in all but one game.

The Titans played a nail-biter yesterday, but came away with a big win against the Saints, pushing their record to 8-2 and securing their number one spot in the AFC yet again for this week.

Landry playing at such a high level is a big reason behind the Titans' success. If a defense can stop a high-powered offense every time, you get the results of an 8-2 team.

#2 - T.J. Watt - 12.5 sacks

T.J. Watt couldn't make the magic happen yesterday as the Steelers and Lions game ended in a very rare overtime tie. The Steelers were without Big Ben, as he was placed on the COVID/Reserve list.

The last time the Steelers found themselves in an overtime position, it was Watt who helped secure the victory.

Watt still tacked on a sack, two tackles for loss and two quarterback hits. It was widely believed that Watt would be the sack leader this week, but he was outdone once again.

Watt, however, was given a mid-season vote for DPOTY. He will have to keep going to see if he can catch the number one sack leader on the list.

#1 - Myles Garrett - 13 sacks

Myles Garrett unfortunately must play on a Browns team that has not yet found its identity as a consistent playoff-caliber team. That could be because Baker Mayfield seems to be regressing.

However, Myles Garrett continues to be a dominant force every week as he tacked on yet another sack, bringing his total to 13 on the season. Garrett could very well be chasing Michael Strahan's 22.5 sack season.

Garrett is past the halfway mark for that count and there are still eight games left to play in the regular season.

Should Garrett set a new record, there will be no denying his status as Defensive Player of the Year.
