Rihanna all set to take the stage at Super Bowl halftime show

Super Bowl LVII kicks off in three days and will feature artist and pop star Rihanna as the performer for the halftime show.

The news was announced in September by the NFL for Rihanna to perform in February and this will be her first live performance in over five years.

She was offered to perform at the Super Bowl in 2019, but declined the opportunity due to the then-ongoing boycott in support of Colin Kaepernick.

Rihanna will perform for 13 minutes, trying to cram in 17 years worth of work and music into her performance as she takes the stage at Glendale, Arizona.

Rihanna joined Nadeska in an exclusive Apple Music exclusive interview titled, "The Official Rihanna Interview," and discussed her upcoming performance during halftime.

Rihanna revealed on the episode that building the setlist was the toughest part of preparing for the Super Bowl halftime show.

Rihanna said:

"It’s the biggest challenge. That was the hardest part. Deciding how to maximize 13 minutes but also celebrate. That’s what the show’s gonna be, a celebration of my catalogue in the best way that we could’ve put it together."

She added:

"You’re trying to cram 17 years of work into 13 minutes so it’s difficult. I think we did a pretty good job at narrowing it down. There's probably about 39 versions of the setlist right now."

The Super Bowl will feature two firsts. It will be the first time two black QBs will face off on the grandest stage of them all, and it will also feature the first matchup between a pair of brothers in Travis and Jason Kelce.

The Super Bowl will start at 6:30 PM ET on Sunday, February 12, and will be played at the State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona.
