The play call has since been heavily criticized due to having one of the best goalline running backs in Marshawn Lynch on the field. Tom Brady, who threw for 328 yards and 4 touchdowns, was named the Super Bowl MVP after his outstanding performance. The win marked the Patriots' fourth Super Bowl victory in franchise history, placing the Belichick/Brady Patriots in the same conversation as the Montana-led 49ers, and the 1970s Steelers as the greatest dynasties ever.
