New Orleans Saints tight end Taysom Hill has been out for the last three weeks because of a rib injury he sustained in Week 4 against the Atlanta Falcons. Hill was declared inactive for last Thursday's game against the Denver Broncos, despite being able to participate in a few limited practices before the game.
According to New Orleans Saints insider Nick Underhill, Hill might return for the team's Week 8 game with the Los Angeles Chargers. Additionally, linebacker Pete Werner, wide receiver Chris Olave and guards Cesar Ruiz and Lucas Patrick may return this week, according to Underhill.
The Saints have been severely understaffed due to injuries this season and could use all the assistance they can get going forward.

Fantasy managers should be thrilled at the prospect of Hill returning. Before going down with an injury in Week 4, he had his strongest fantasy showing of the season, scoring two running touchdowns against the Atlanta Falcons.

Taysom Hill is almost always an injury risk, particularly as his workload increases. Fantasy managers may still retain the veteran tight end on the roster and hope he stays fit for the remainder of the season, though.
Taysom Hill will attempt to help the Saints snap a five-game losing streak upon return
Even though the New Orleans Saints are largely to blame for their five straight losses, it's still difficult to ignore the effect injuries have had on the squad.
With the starting quarterback, several players on the offensive line, and a few more players like Chris Olave and Taysom Hill missing time due to injuries, the team's offense has been particularly heavily struck by the injury plague this campaign.
In addition to losing five games in a row, the Saints have suffered two consecutive home losses to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Denver Broncos with over 20-point margins.
Reintroducing players like Hill to the starting lineup from Week 8 is undoubtedly a positive turn for the Saints, even though New Orleans still has other issues to address.
In order to secure a postseason berth in the second half of the season, the Saints will need to go on an outstanding winning streak and they will need their best players to attempt that with 10 games remaining and five losses already recorded.
