NFL legend Tom Brady has announced his retirement — and for good, this time. The 45-year-old posted an emotional video on social media, confirming that he won't make a return to the league.

Brady holds a long list of records to his name. The iconic quarterback played in the league for 23 years, spending two decades with the New England Patriots and his final three seasons with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Brady ended his career as the NFL's all-time leader in passing yards (89,214) and touchdown passes (649) in the regular season. He also holds the record for the most pass attempts (12,050) and passes completed (7,753).

The legendary quarterback has the most wins (251) by any player to have graced the league as well.

Brady leads the list for Pro Bowl honors, having received 15 accolades in his career. He also has a record five Super Bowl MVP awards.

He has won seven Super Bowl titles, the most by any player. Interestingly, Brady has more Super Bowl wins than all the other NFL teams. The former quarterback also holds the record for the most Super Bowl appearances (10).

He tops the list for most postseason wins (35) as well. Brady earns himself more NFL records if we include his playoff stats as well. He finished his career with the most passing yards (102,614) and the most passing touchdowns (737).

In his third and final season with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Tom Brady threw for 4,694 yards and 25 touchdowns. He led the team to their divisional title, despite an 8-9 record in the NFC South.

However, Brady and the Buccaneers fell to the Dallas Cowboys in the Wild Card round.

Nonetheless, Brady's career will certainly earn him a spot in the NFL Hall of Fame.
