Kansas City Chiefs escaped a hard-fought game against the Raiders

The Kansas City Chiefs entered this game as -13.5 favorites, but the development said something completely different. The Raiders always play hard against the defending Super Bowl champions and this game wasn't the exception. After entering halftime down 10-3 and seeing the Chiefs take a 16-3 lead, the Raiders scored back-to-back touchdowns to take a 17-16 lead.

After the Chiefs responded with a field goal, they had the chance to reclaim the lead, but Daniel Carlson missed a 58-yard field goal. Aidan O'Connell attempted a game-winning drive and was close to putting Carlson in a privileged position again. But a mistake by the center caused a fumble recovered by the Chiefs, who secured a 19-17 win.

Coming off a solid first half, with Travis Kelce playing a terrific game, the Chiefs couldn't keep up the pace in the second part. The tight end only grabbed one pass for five yards while Brock Bowers woke up and did some damage.

The Chiefs became the first team to win 14 consecutive one-possession games on Friday, surpassing the New England Patriots (2003-04).
