Tennessee Titans' Derrick Henry has been one of the best running backs in the last five seasons. Since 2018, Henry has recorded four 1,000-plus yard rushing seasons. He has led the league in rushing twice in his career.

He became the eighth running back in NFL history to rush for over 2,000 yards in a single-season in 2020, when he ran for 2,027 yards.

The 2016 second-round pick out of Alabama has been one of the best players in the Titans' franchise history and is still one of the best backs in football today.

Could the eight-year running back be on the move? There were reports earlier this off-season of the team listening to trade offers for Henry.

Per NFL insider Albert Breer, the Titans weren't actively shopping Henry but were listening to some offers made by other teams.

Henry is 29 years old and has carried the ball 1,750 times in his career. The Titans understand that Henry won't be the dominating back that he is for too long. The Titans may also be able to get some good value in return for Henry.

This past season, the Carolina Panthers traded running back Christian McCaffrey to the San Franciaco 49ers. They received good value in return for him.

The Panthers received a second, third, and fourth-round pick in the 2023 NFL Draft and a fifth-round pick in the 2024 NFL Draft for McCaffrey.

The Titans could seek a similar deal as the McCaffrey-49ers trade, but since Henry is three years older, they may not get as much in return.

Tennessee could receive a second-round pick in this year's draft or a future second-round and a mid-round pick. He's only under contract for this season and is due $16.6 million. His cap hit could also decrease his trade value.

As rumors circulated about Henry potentially being traded, Tennesse Titans general manager Ran Carthon shot them down.

Carthon spoke to reporters during the NFL league meetings and denied that the team is considering potentially trading Henry.

Carthon said:

"There's nothing new to report. There was an erroneous report that came out. I've spoken to Todd, Derrick's representative, and we're in a good place. So, there's nothing new to report from there. ... I feel like we're in a good place."

While Carthon and the Titans seem committed to Henry, you never know what could happen or the kind of offers the team will receive for him.
