With three wins in 12, the New York Jets have little left to play for this season, except pride. The season clearly hasn't gone to plan, as evidenced by the franchise firing Robert Saleh and Joe Douglas. While the headlines have been all about Aaron Rodgers week after week, entering Week 14, they were handed another problem, this time with lead running back Breece Hall.

Through the week, interim head coach Jeff Ulbrich maintained his optimism that Hall would be available for a big matchup against the Miami Dolphins. However, late on Saturday, the franchise downgraded him to out.

What happened to Breece Hall?

Hall appears to be dealing with a knee injury that also played a part in him looking a little shaky during the 26-21 loss to the Seattle Seahawks last weekend. The star running back finished that game with 60 yards on 12 carries.

According to ESPN's Rich Cimini, Hall is specifically dealing with a hyperextension / MCL issue with his left knee.

Despite being out of the playoffs, the Jets have stopped short of ruling Hall out for the season. With Hall out of the picture, rookie Braelon Allen is set to serve as their lead back against the Dolphins. The Jets, however, will sorely miss Hall's services. In 12 games this season, he has rushed for 692 yards and four tuddies on a total of 164 carries. He also has 46 catches for 401 yards and two TDs on his resume this year.

Tackle Terron Armstead racked up DNPs all week with a knee injury and is a major doubt to face the Jets. There's more optimism for Bradley Chubb who will be looking to make a much-awaited return from a knee injury. LS Blake Ferguson (non-football illness), RB Raheem Mostert (hip), LB Cameron Goode (knee), CB Kader Kohou (back) and LB Anthony Walker Jr. (hamstring) are all listed as questionable.
