Gisele Bundchen called out the 'social media mob' filming her

Gisele Bundchen has been working as a model since she was a teenager. As she became the world's highest paid model, Bundchen met (and started dating) NFL star Tom Brady. Though the couple divorced last year, Brady and Gisele were known as the NFL's power couple.

Naturally, Bundchen became a common fixture at games, especially when Brady's team was playing in the Super Bowl.

Unfortunately, the constant exposure to the public has its downsides. A few years into their relationship, Bundchen spoke to The New York Times about fame and how difficult it can be.

The response was linked to the Super Bowl XLVI (2012). Gisele Bundchen's reaction after the New England Patriots' loss against the New York Giants was filmed and commented upon on social media.

Though Bundchen tried to move past the hate, it didn't mean the Brazilian supermodel was unaffected by it. She spoke about the comments online and how she deals with the scrutiny on social media:

“To me, the idea of being famous is irritating,” Gisele Bundchen said. “The attention is strange. Everyone has an opinion.
“It can overwhelm you when people attack you or make comments. But when people are saying those things, the haters, I try not to let it in. Given what is, I tell myself, what am I to do?”

Did Gisele Bundchen curse at a fan after the Patriots 2012 Super Bowl loss?

The video in question is an infamous clip by an elevator, where Bundchen defended Brady in front of fans and ended up swearing.

"My husband can not f***ing throw the ball and catch the ball at the same time."

Bundchen did not seem aware of the camera, which elicited a reaction from her later on. After all, no one likes to be filmed without their consent.

The comment was also aimed at the team and its defenders, indicating that the quarterback alone cannot carry the team. All said, it's a pretty minor incident that was blown completely out of proportion.

In a later interview, Bundchen explained her mindset at the time, admitting that it was a stressful game for them.

"I couldn't handle it was too much for me, it was a nail-biter. And I'm like drinking wine because I'm just trying to relax. it was the most stressful game ever, I think.
"I thought I was like mild, what I said. I mean it's true, how can he do everything? He can't catch and throw the ball at the same time, that's just a fact."

Gisele Bundchen also shared a few comments that were passed, where fans told Brady to 'go home and cry like a baby.'

Dealing with online unpleasantness is never easy, but Gisele Bundchen does an admirable job, all things considered.
