The AFC Pro Bowl quarterbacks for 2023 have become the talk of the town.

Amid the replacements for the initial starters, we finally seem to have the names of the AFC quarterbacks who will be part of the All-Star game. The game is set to take place in Las Vegas on Sunday, February 5.

As things stand, Jacksonville Jaguars' Trevor Lawrence, Baltimore Ravens' Tyler Huntley, and Las Vegas Raiders' Derek Carr have been listed to play in the Pro Bowl. However, they are all replacements for the initial quarterbacks that won't partake in the game.

The original Pro Bowl honorees were Kansas City Chiefs' Patrick Mahomes, Cincinnati Bengals' Joe Burrow, and Buffalo Bills' Josh Allen. Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa and the Los Angeles Chargers' Justin Herbert were tipped as the next replacements.

Mahomes will be focused on the Super Bowl, while Allen, Tua, and Herbert have been excused due to injuries. Meanwhile, Burrow has bowed out of the game after losing the AFC Championship game against the Chiefs this past weekend.

While the AFC Pro Bowl starters have not yet been confirmed, reports claim that Trevor Lawrence is most likely to lead the AFC offense in the game. The Jacksonville Jaguars star led the team to the Divisional Round, but they were eliminated from the playoffs by the Kansas City Chiefs.

Tyler Huntley was able to guide the Baltimore Ravens into the playoffs after Lamar Jackson's injury mid-way through the season. However, the team lost to the Cincinnati Bengals in the Wild Card round. Huntley is expected to take up a backup quarterback role for the AFC team in the Pro Bowl.

Derek Carr was benched by the Las Vegas Raiders for the final few games of the regular season. The quarterback has also bid his farewell to the team.

However, he confirmed that he will be taking part in this year's Pro Bowl festivities. Given that Carr wasn't a regular starter for the Raiders, he is expected to be the third-choice quarterback in the Pro Bowl game.
