Arizona Cardinals running back James Conner was initially taken by the Pittsburgh Steelers with the 105th overall pick in the third round of the 2017 NFL Draft.

James Conner was born to Glen Conner Sr. and Kelly Patterson. When James was just four years old, his parents divorced.

James is the fifth son born to his parents after Glen, Richard, Michael, and Rico. James also has a stepbrother after his mother, Kelly, remarried.

James Conner has maintained a tight relationship with both of his parents and has recently given them both expensive gifts. He tweeted about his touching moment with his father in 2020 when he gave him the keys to a brand-new pickup truck.

Together, James and his father have already experienced a lot. James' father was by his side when the running back was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma in 2015. Glen Sr. was right there by his side when the running back overcame the illness and also when he was selected for the NFL.

The Conner boys and their parents have remained close throughout the peaks and troughs, and instances like this one demonstrate this.

The running back also gave his mother, Kelly, a present that was even more pricey than the truck he gifted to his father: a house. His mother's surprise upon learning that the house she was inside was a gift from her son was no less startling than his father's when he received the vehicle.

He showed his parents how much he truly appreciated their support in his life by giving them gifts from his hard-earned money.

The world views James as an inspiration, but for him, his family, who helped him develop into the player he is today, serves as his true source of motivation.

James Conner has had a beautiful football career

The Pittsburgh Steelers selected University of Pittsburgh alumnus James Conner in the third round of the 2017 NFL Draft. In 2014, he was named the ACC Player of the Year and was selected to the AFCA first-team All-American team.

Conner agreed to a one-year contract with the Arizona Cardinals in April 2021. He was selected for the Pro Bowl after his first campaign at Arizona. He was also named 80th on the NFL Top 100 Players of 2022 list by fellow players.
