The New York Jets will play their last game of the regular season on Sunday, January 8, against the Miami Dolphins. The game will take place at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida, at 1 pm ET.

The two AFC East teams will face each other for the second time this season. The Gang Green defeated the Dolphins 40-17 under the leadership of QB Zach Wilson in Week 5 of the regular season. The Jets have been eliminated from playoff contention, and they now have a chance of eliminating the Dolphins by gaining a victory in Sunday's matchup.

In Week 17, the Jets lost to the Seattle Seahawks 6-23. QB Mike White started his fourth game of the season and threw for 240 yards with two interceptions.

White landed on New York's injury list for this week after Wednesday's practice session. He was a full participant on Wednesday but was limited on Thursday with a rib injury.

On Friday, New York Jets head coach Robert Saleh announced that veteran quarterback Joe Flacco would officially start Sunday’s bout vs. the Miami Dolphins.

Veteran quarterback Joe Flacco is playing his 15th season in the NFL. Flacco has started in three of the four games this season and has 902 passing yards, five passing touchdowns and three interceptions.

Flacco has faced the Dolphins eight times in his 15-year career. He had a 98.2 quarterback rating when playing against Miami while throwing for 1,995 yards, 12 touchdowns and four interceptions. He made his last start against the Dolphins when Miami defeated New York 24-17 in Week 11 of the 2021 season.

The veteran quarterback is considered a borderline QB2 against the Dolphins in Week 18. In four games, he has scored only 42.68 fantasy points. As for fantasy football managers, we suggest you bench Joe Flacco for Week 18 and give your backup quarterbacks a chance to score good fantasy points.
