Ndamukong Suh was raised by his parents, Michael and Bernadette. Bernadette Suh teaches at an elementary school. She was raised in Spanish Town, Jamaica, and has a degree from Southern Oregon University.

Michael Suh, on the other hand, is a mechanical engineer and machinist. He is from Cameroon and played soccer for the Cameroonian national team. He also played semi-pro soccer in Germany.

In March 2015, the Miami Dolphins revealed that Suh had secured a six-year, $114 million deal with a $60 million guarantee. Thanks to the deal, he surpassed Houston Texans defensive end JJ Watt to become the highest-paid defensive player in league history.

On November 17, 2022, Suh agreed to a one-year contract with the Philadelphia Eagles.

He has had a highly accomplished career, having been selected to play in the Pro Bowl five times and is also a three-time All-Pro.
