Why Tom Brady needs to sign with the Las Vegas Raiders

Should Tom Brady sign with the Las Vegas Raiders?

It’s time for Tom Brady to finally head to the Las Vegas Raiders this offseason. There are rumors that the future Hall of Famer almost signed with the team back in 2020 before ultimately landing with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

We’ll never know what would’ve happened if Brady had taken his talents to Vegas back then. He, of course, won a Super Bowl ring during his first season in Tampa.

Brady, who will be 46 years old when next season begins, is set to become a free agent this offseason. While he may decide to retire (for good this time) or re-sign with the Buccaneers, it’s definitely a possibility that he’ll head to another team.

Tampa Bay is currently 7-8. Obviously, they are not quite on the same level as the Super Bowl-squad from a couple of years ago. Perhaps Brady believes he has a much better chance of winning another ring somewhere else.

The Raiders season hasn’t been pretty. They have been eliminated from playoff contention this year and own a 6-9 record.

They recently benched Derek Carr for the remainder of the season, meaning the three-time Pro Bowl quarterback’s days might be numbered in Sin City. It also means that Brady could become his replacement.

Tom Brady has a relationship with Raiders coach Josh McDaniels

Several teams, like the San Francisco 49ers, Miami Dolphins and New York Jets, are expected to show interest in signing Brady. But reuniting with first-year Raiders head coach Josh McDaniels is a reason he could choose to relocate to Vegas.

McDaniels and Brady spent many years together with the New England Patriots as the former served as the team’s offensive coordinator.

Having McDaniels around would certainly help Brady feel comfortable in his new surroundings. The reunion would give “Tom Terrific” one of his best chances at winning Super Bowl ring No. 8.

The Raiders possess offensive weapons

If he landed in Vegas, Brady would be surrounded by several talented offensive players. The Raiders’ roster includes Davante Adams—who’s easily one of the top wide receivers in all of football—Darren Waller and Hunter Renfrow.

Also, if running back Josh Jacobs, who currently leads the league in rushing, re-signs this offseason, he would be just another weapon to work with.

Brady-to-Vegas could end up resulting in the Raiders’ first Super Bowl trophy since way back in 1984.
