Travis Etienne Jr. has been in the spotlight for the Jacksonville Jaguars ahead of their Week 7 clash against the New England Patriots. The running back has been nursing a hamstring injury, and fans want to know whether he will feature in Sunday's NFL London game.
Will Travis Etienne Jr. play today vs. Patriots?
As things stand, Travis Etienne is listed as out against the Patriots in Week 7. The Jaguars were expected to make a game-time decision on the running back for Sunday's contest.
Etienne was a limited participant in practice throughout the week, and Jaguars coach Doug Pederson was optimistic about the player making a recovery in time to face New England.
"I think Etienne is progressing. We still haven't made a decision yet. We're going to get through tomorrow, could be game time." Pederson said on Friday.
Etienne had been nursing a shoulder injury heading into the Week 6 game against the Chicago Bears. However, he then picked up a hamstring issue at around halftime against Chicago and played 11 offensive snaps, losing one yard on three carries, in Jacksonville's 35-16 defeat.
Etienne has played in all six games for the Jaguars this season, but he is yet to have a breakthrough outing. The running back has recorded 230 yards on 50 carries and rushed for two touchdowns while adding 91 yards on 16 receptions.
