Abubakar Magomedovich Nurmagomedov, popularly known as Abubakar Nurmagomedov, is a Russian mixed martial artist currently signed with the Ultimate Fighting Championship and is fighting in the Welterweight Division. Nurmagomedov is a Combat Sambo World Championship bronze medalist and Russian national combat sambo champion. He is also the cousin of Khabib Nurmagomedov.

Khabib Nurmagomedov made his professional MMA debut in October 2011 against Ibrahim Dzhantukhanov. Nurmagomedov won the fight via submission. At the Sochi Star tournament, Nurmagomedov was eliminated by Magomed Mustafaev by first-round technical knockout. Before beginning his career in the US, Nurmagomedov beat Vladimir Gunzu of Ukraine.
Having signed with WSOF, Abubakar Nurmagomedov made his debut for the promotion in August of 2015 when he defeated Jorge Moreno via unanimous decision at WSOF 22. During his tenure with the upgrade, Nurmagomedov established a winning streak, as he beat the likes of Jorge Moreno, Danny Davis Jr., and Matt Secor.
Abubakar Nurmagomedov competed at the PFL Welterweight Grand-Prix, losing his first fight to Pavel Kusch in the opening round. Nurmagomedov then secured a win over Jonatan Westin before eventually fighting Bojan Velickovic to a majority draw.
Abubakar Nurmagomedov made his UFC debut on November 9, 2019, against David Zawada and lost the fight via submission.
