Patel made his List-A debut versus the Bengal cricket team at Jaipur on September 24, 2019. He scored nine runs off ten deliveries against Bengal before losing his wicket to Ashok Dinda.

The 25-year-old has not been so successful in List-A cricket. He has scored 111 runs in eight List-A innings, with his highest score being 35. His batting average in the List-A format is 13.87.

He has never scored a half-century in domestic cricket. However, his ability to hit the ball out of the park helped him earn the IPL franchises’ attention.

IPL Career

Ripal Patel has not played a single IPL match in his career. The 25-year-old from Nadiad bagged his maiden IPL contract at the 2021 auction where the Delhi Capitals Team signed him at his base price of INR 20 lakh.
