Ziegler’s career started out when she was only 8 years old. She was a contestant in many dance shows such as Live to Dance in 2010, Dance Moms from 2011 to 2016, and a guest appearance on a spin-off program, Abby’s Ultimate Dance Competition, in 2013. A. Ziegler and Lukasiak became friends when they were both contestants in the show Dance Moms. Lukasiak and her mother had a spat with the show’s producers and left the studio later to join their rival studio. The two tried to maintain their friendship, but in a “throwback Tuesday” Dance Moms special in July 2015, Ziegler said, “We haven’t really talked to each other, and things have changed between us... It’s really sad because I obviously miss her.”
