The Vegas Golden Knights is a professional ice hockey team based in Paradise, Nevada, competing in the National Hockey League (NHL). Established in 2017 as an expansion team, marking the first major professional sports franchise to call Las Vegas home. The team plays under the Pacific Division of the Western Conference. They have played a total seven seasons in the NHL and appeared in six playoffs, missing only one in 2022. They have already made significant marks in the league with one Stanley Cup, three Division and two Conference Championships.

The Vegas Golden Knights has two minor league affiliations Henderson Silver Knights in AHL and Savannah Ghost Pirates in ECHL. The broadcasting rights are held by KMCC (TV) and KKGK (Fox Sports 1340/98.9). Additionally, Spanish-speaking fans can tune in to KENO (Deportes Vegas 1460) for radio broadcasts in Spanish.

The Black Knight Sports & Entertainment company has made some crucial investments in sports ventures apart from the Golden Knights. They also acquired Henderson Silver Knights, the AHL affiliate of the Golden Knights, as well as an Indoor Football League team, the Vegas Knight Hawks, which began playing in 2022.

Adrienne Maloof, an American businesswoman and T.V. personality holds some share of the Vegas Golden Knights franchise along with her family business named Maloof Companies. Maloof was born on September 4, 1961, in New Mexico and attended the University of New Mexico on a tennis scholarship, earning a degree in political science. As a member of the billionaire Maloof family, her ownership also includes Sacramento Kings (NBA) and The Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas.
