
Alex Ferreira, an 11-time World Cup winner, is a professional halfpipe skier. Hailing from an athletic family (his father was a professional soccer player, while his mother is a marathon runner as per his page on Team USA), Ferreira's first podium finish at the major level came at the 2014 Winter X Games, where he won a Bronze medal. Along with three gold medals, Ferreira has also bagged two silver and two bronze medals apiece at Winter X Games. His best performance at the Winter Olympics came in 2018 when he finished as a runner-up in halfpipe skiing. Ferreira has also found tremendous success at Dew Tour, winning 4 golds (2017, 2018, 2021, and 2024) in SuperPipe.
Ferreira's latest achievement includes winning Bronze at the 2025 Engadin World Championships. The two-time Olympic medalist has also won the FIS Crystal Globe for the Best Male Halfpipe Skier of the Year.
