Avery A. Skinner, born April 25, 1999, in Katy, Texas, is an accomplished American professional volleyball player. She is an outside hitter for the United States women’s national volleyball team and the Italian Serie A1 team Chieri.

Skinner who began as a tap, ballet, and musical theater dancer, shifted her focus to volleyball at age 13. She is the daughter of former NBA player Brian Skinner, and sister to fellow volleyball player Madisen Skinner. She played for Kentucky Wildcats from 2017 to 2020 earning multiple accolades including the SEC All-Freshman Team and AVCA First Team All-American. Her performance was instrumental in Kentucky's first NCAA championship win in 2020. She graduated with degrees in interdisciplinary early childhood education and communication studies and disorders.

Using an extra year of eligibility due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Skinner transferred to Baylor for the 2021 season where she was named an Honorable Mention All-American and a finalist for NCAA Women of the Year. In 2022, Skinner began her professional career with Béziers Volley in France. She now continues her journey with Chieri in Italy for the 2023–2024 season.
