Gavin Bottger is an American skateboarder hailing from South Lake Tahoe, California. Born on January 5, 2007, Gavin's skating journey began after his first experience at the Gardnerville Nevada skatepark. Gavin soon caught the attention of major sponsors which include Nike SB, Volcom, Powell-Peralta, Bones Wheels, Independent, Grizzly, S1, Glassy Sunhaters, and GoPro. Gavin participated in the Amateur Combi Pool Classic 15 and Under in October 2016 and finished sixth overall. He spent countless hours at skateparks practicing. He secured second place at the HWJS in Orange, California in April 2018. Gavin grew up in South Lake Tahoe. Gavin and his father, Scott, often traveled throughout the Bay Area and Sacramento exploring various skateparks and locations. Both the son and father most of the time slept in Walmart parking lots in their Subaru to maximize their skateboarding time. However, the harsh winters of Tahoe prompted the Bottger family to move to Vista, California, where they currently reside.

Despite his young age, Gavin has already traveled extensively which includes visits to Woodward, China, and Canada. He earned himself a spot among the world’s most renowned skateboarders. Gavin maintains a strong presence on social media particularly on Instagram, where he shares his skateboarding adventures with his 189k followers. His account, @gavinbottger, features 30 posts which primarily consist of skateboarding videos and daily activities.
