Miles Chamley-Watson is a professional Foil Fencer. Born in London, United Kingdom, he is a British-American by nationality and represents the United States at national level. He was born on December 3, 1989, and is of Irish, British, Malawian, and Jamaican descent. At the age of eight, the family moved to the USA in New York City. There, he was a member of the Fencers Club and trained under the tutelage of Simon Gershon.

Chamley-Watson has had a great international career so far, winning the bronze medal in the 2016 Rio De Janeiro Olympics. He has won five medals in the World Championship including two golds, one of which was earned in individual competitions. Watson has won four medals in the Pan American games and is a twelve-time team Pan American Champion.

Miles Chamley-Watson attended the Knox School in Long Island, New York. He graduated from there during the Class of 2008. Before going professional in fencing, he played multiple sports like Soccer and Basketball and was a member of the Knox Falcons team.

Miles Chamley-Watson attended Pennslyvania State University. He graduated with a degree in sports management and attended college for four years from 2008 to 2012. Over the course of these four seasons, he performed well in his collegiate career. Chamley-Watson burst onto the scene with a remarkable run capturing the Mid-Atlantic crown and earning All-American honors with a third-place finish at the NCAA Championships.

The next year, Chamley-Watson continued his impressive form, winning a bronze medal at the Pan American Championships and silver and bronze medals at various Senior World Cup and Junior World Cup events. He again got a third-place finish at the NCAA Championships.

Chamley-Watson took a break from collegiate competition to pursue a spot on the 2012 U.S. Olympic Team, which he successfully achieved. Upon his return to Penn State, Chamley-Watson resumed his collegiate career, earning his fourth All-American status with a third-place finish at the NCAA Championships.
