Shayna Andrea Baszler is a professional wrestler, kick boxer and former mixed martial artist, who is currently signed with WWE and is wrestling for the Raw brand. Baszler is a Khun Kru in Muay Thai and a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Black belt holder. She started her career as a mixed martial artist in 2006 and made debut at Mixed Fighting Championships, where she faced Amanda Buckner and lost in the third round TKO. She then fought at Elite XC, StrikeForce, UFC and other promotions and left MMA with a win-loss record of 15 wins and 11 losses in 2015 to pursue a career in professional wrestling. Baszler began her professional wrestling career in 2015 and wrestled for various independent wrestling circuits before joining WWE in 2017.

In 2017, Baszler entered the Mae Young Classic tournament, where she got defeated in the finals of the tournament to Kairi Sane. She then wrestled for multiple house shows and made her NXT television debut as a heel by attacking Kairi Sane. Baszler had her first match on television the next week against Dakota Kai, where she won by referee stoppage. She soon moved to the top-card and became NXT Women’s Champion at NXT TakeOver: New Orleans by defeating Ember Moon by Technical Submission. She held the NXT Championship for 133 days and lost to Kairi Sane, but regained the title two months later to start her second reign as NXT Women’s Champion. She held the championship for 416 days, which is the longest reign for the title. After losing the title, Baszler entered the Royal Rumble and eliminated eight contestants. She was called for the main roster debut the following week by attacking Becky Lynch and biting her neck. She then entered the Elimination Chamber, where she eliminated every other women to fight Becky Lynch at WrestleMania for the Raw Women’s Championship, but failed. It was reported that her push was canceled by Vince, for using more MMA style. Baszler then had multiple feuds and managed to win WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship thrice, two times with Nia Jax and once with Ronda Rousey.

She is a born American, but she is from a German-Chinese descent, where his father is of German ancestry and his mother is of Chinese ancestry. Baszler had never represented Germany or China in her MMA or WWE career and always played under the United States during her MMA run.
