About Houston Rockets Roster
The Houston Rockets roster went through a major shuffle in the 2023 off-season with new incoming players and coach Ime Udoka. Fred VanVleet was signed in free agency, and Cam Whitmore and Amen Thompson were drafted in the 2023 NBA Draft. Dillon Brooks was also added to the Rockets roster.
After hiring one of the best coaches in the NBA, the Rockets went into rebuilding and made major moves. Fred VanVleet and Jalen Green make their backcourt, with Green is in the best stretch of his basketball career, helping the Rockets close the gap to the Golden State Warriors. The Rockets lineup consists of Dillon Brooks at small-forward, who guards the opposition’s best scorer day and day out, Jabari Smith at the Power forward who is a 3 and D wing player and a young talent rising in Alperen Sengun at the center, whose unique blend of skill, strength, and basketball IQ. He possesses a diverse offensive game style and a shot-blocking threat on the other end as well.
Coming off the bench for the Houston Rockets are the two rookies, Amen Thompson and Cam Whitmore, both have shown tremendous development in their rookie season. The Rockets roster also have experienced and veteran players like Jeff Green and Reggie Bullock coming off the bench. Jae’ Sean Tate, part of the All-Rookie 2021 team, is also getting consistent minutes off the bench.
