What happened to Sting in WWE?
In 2001 after WWF purchased WCW, the company chose not to purchase Sting’s contract from AOL Time Warner. He rejected the 50 cents on the dollar from AOL Time Warner and waited till his contract expired in March 2002. He declined the offers by WWE and chose smaller promotion WWA for a brief run and went to TNA in 2003.
