The Eleven Supernovas of the Worst Generation have a special hype among all the rookie pirates active in One Piece. This group encompasses eleven pirates from nine different crews, linked by the fact that they were awarded a bounty of over 100 million berries before entering the New World, and, specifically, before the Paramount War's outbreak.
All of the Eleven Supernovas are the captains of the respective crews, except Zoro and Killer, the seconds-in-command of the Straw Hat Pirates and, respectively, the Kid Pirates. Among the Straw Hats, only Luffy and Zoro achieved the prestigious status of Worst Generation Supernovas in One Piece.
Sanji, the Straw Hat crew's cook, and third strongest member-- wasn't included in the Worst Generation, as he wasn't at the level of the "super rookies" in Sabaody. In Wano, five Supernovas were emphasized as the strongest rising pirates, and Sanji wasn't one of them. However, Sanji has improved greatly since then. He didn't make the cut then but has surpassed some of the Eleven Supernovas.

The Worst Generation Supernovas that Sanji can defeat as of One Piece chapter 1132, matchups listed from easiest to hardest
7) Sanji vs Capone
Sanji recently awakened his special Vinsmoke genetic traits, gaining a huge power-up. He now has a particularly sturdy exoskeleton, which increases his passive durability. It also allows him to maximize his movement speed and use the Ifrit Jambe, a superior version of the Diable Jambe.
Owing to these upgrades, Sanji would convincingly beat Capone Bege. The captain of the Firetank Pirates, Capone is a ruthless and cunning strategist, as well as a highly proficient marksman. He relies on the Castle-Castle Fruit as a miniature fortress, housing countless firearms in his body.
Capone can increase his defensive prowess by turning into a huge castle-like golem. He was able to endure some punches from Big Mom, so he would probably withstand several hits from Sanji. Still, Sanji can dodge or block most of Capone’s attacks, and use the Ifrit Jambe: Hell Memories to take him down.
Verdict: Sanji wins with low difficulty.
6) Sanji vs X Drake
A member of SWORD, the Navy’s secret unit, Drake feigned to become a pirate and infiltrated Kaido’s crew, pretending to become one of its Flying Six. After being exposed during the Onigashima Raid, he joined forces with Luffy and the others.
Drake is a decent physical fighter. He possesses decent skill as the dual wielder of a sword and a four-bladed ax. Additionally, he can use the powers of an Ancient Zoan to turn himself into a powerful carnivorous dinosaur, obtaining high endurance, durability, and physical strength.
At this point in the One Piece series, Sanji is a far more powerful fighter than Drake. Using his maximum speed and performing his strongest kicks, Sanji would overwhelm Drake, pummeling him until his inevitable defeat.
Verdict: Sanji wins with low difficulty.
5) Sanji vs Hawkins
A tricky and dangerous One Piece character, Basil Hawkins uses the Straw-Straw Fruit to cover himself in straw, create weapons, and generate enormous scarecrow-like avatars. He can also draw his tarot cards to enhance his combat techniques, even though they have unpredictable and risky effects.
Hawkins can also use his Devil Fruit powers to transfer any damage he receives to another person to whom he is connected. In any case, Hawkins was brutally defeated by Killer, a character that the upgraded Sanji shouldn’t be weaker than.
Unless Hawkins knows about Sanji’s weak point, and links his own body to that of a woman to blackmail him, he wouldn’t stand a chance against the Straw Hat crew’s cook. Sanji would overwhelm Hawkins, forcing him to wear out his lives one after another.
Verdict: Sanji wins with low difficulty.
4) Sanji vs Apoo
Scratchman Apoo uses the insidious and deceptive powers of the Sound-Sound Fruit to perform surprise attacks. Specifically, he releases sound waves that can deliver various forms of damage. However, Apoo’s targets can completely avoid the effects of his techniques by covering their ears.
Sanji only uses his legs to fight. Thus, he can cover his ears with his hands, and use his kicks to attack Apoo at the same time. In the beginning, Sanji will likely suffer some damage, but his exoskeleton will help him to minimize the injuries.
Apoo was afraid to face Queen, a fighter that Sanji, at least after his power-up, was able to beat. With this in mind, there’s little doubt that Sanji is stronger than Apoo in One Piece.
Verdict: Sanji wins with low difficulty.
3) Sanji vs Bonney
Jewelry Bonney uses the Age-Age Fruit to manipulate the aging process of her targets. She can turn people into weak children or frail elders by rapidly decreasing or increasing their age. Sanji is much faster and stronger than Bonney, meaning she shouldn’t be able to subdue him with her Devil Fruit powers, which require direct physical contact.
Bonney can also age herself into an alternate future of her choice, altering her own body. She can make her physique large and muscular like a Buccaneer’s, and even reproduce the features of “Sun God” Nika, mimicking Luffy’s Gear 5 form. However, when using these transformations, she exhausts herself pretty quickly.
If Sanji uses his exoskeleton, maximum speed, and Ifrit Jambe, Bonney wouldn’t be able to keep up. Still, Sanji vowed to his mentor Zeff that he would never harm a woman, or allow one to be harmed in front of him. Sanji applies this tenet even in life-or-death situations, and to both allies and enemies. Rather than attack Bonney, Sanji would probably endanger his own life.
Verdict: Inconclusive. Sanji is far stronger than Bonney, but she is a woman. Sanji wouldn't fight Bonney properly and may end as he did against Kalifa, Viola, and Black Maria.
2) Sanji vs Urouge
Urouge is a close-range fighter who delivers forceful blows with either his fists or his weapon of choice, a large pillar that he uses as a mace. He also uses a Paramecia Devil Fruit to convert any damage he receives into physical strength that boosts his body and attacks.
Owing to his physical might and advantageous Devil Fruit powers, Urouge can endure Sanji’s strikes and counterattack, giving him a hard time. As soon as Sanji goes all-out with Ifrit Jambe, however, he knocks out Urouge for good, without leaving him the time to recover and strengthen himself.
Urouge was defeated by Cracker, a fighter comparable to Queen, if not even weaker than him, while Sanji overpowered the latter. This ensures that the cook of the Straw Hat Pirates would ultimately beat the “Mad Monk”.
Verdict: Sanji wins with medium-high difficulty.
1) Sanji vs Killer
Killer is Eustass Kid’s right-hand man. Just like Zoro, he is a Worst Generation Supernova despite not being the captain of a crew. During the conflict set in Wano, Killer's combat prowess gained further hype as he was among the five strongest Supernovas who challenged Kaido and Big Mom on Onigashima’s rooftop.
A capable Commander-level fighter who excels in speed and agility, Killer should be able to match Sanji’s quickness. Killer can also endure Sanji’s kicks, considering that he was able to stand on his feet without any trouble after suffering several direct hits from Big Mom’s techniques.
Sanji's tough exoskeleton would probably stop Killer’s scythe-like blades. Still, Killer can perform a special technique to spin the Punishers at the speed of sound, creating shockwave-like slashes that injure his opponents from the inside. With this attack, he would be able to bypass the exoskeleton and damage Sanji.
However, Sanji is more powerful than Killer overall. The “Massacre Soldier” would sell his skin dearly, but Sanji should be able to emerge victorious. He would knock down Killer, although not without suffering some serious injuries before.
Verdict: Sanji wins with high-extreme difficulty.

4) Sanji vs Kid
The captain of the Kid Pirates, Eustass Kid has a childish rivalry with Luffy and Trafalgar Law. In Wano, Kid and Law joined forces to fight Big Mom, one of the Yonko. She endured their combined attacks, but couldn’t avoid being pushed underground, which caused her to lose the battle.
Kid recently tried to challenge “Red Hair” Shanks, a reckless decision that led to his downfall. Shanks single-handedly annihilated both Kid and Killer, defeating them with one single blow. This debacle highlighted Kid’s weak spots, such as the prolonged charging time of his best techniques and the lack of Haki mastery.
Kid is neither fast nor particularly reactive, so Sanji would have a clear speed advantage over him. He should be able to dodge Kid’s Punk Pistols and land several hits on the latter. However, Kid is extremely tough. He withstood and, at times, overpowered direct attacks from Big Mom. He even endured a devastating blow from Big Mom’s special “Misery” technique.
Sanji’s kicks wouldn’t be enough to put Kid down for the count, not even with Ifrit Jambe. Kid may use Punk Rotten to keep Sanji at bay, tiring him out. Once fatigued, Sanji would fall prey to Kid’s Magnet-Magnet Fruit, especially as he lacks Haki strong enough to counter it. Kid would win this fight, but not without a few broken bones.
Verdict: Kid wins with high difficulty.
3) Sanji vs Law
Trafalgar D. Water Law is the captain of the Heart Pirates. He is a cunning and deadly fighter who uses the Ope-Ope Fruit to manipulate anything within the range of his abilities. After teaming up with Kid to overcome Big Mom, Law suffered a brutal defeat at the hands of Marshall D. Teach “Blackbeard” in the following arc.
Law’s fighting style combines the powers of the Ope-Ope Fruit with his nimble swordsmanship and remarkable tactical skills. However, most of Law’s best feats have been achieved in team battles or against off-guard opponents. He exploited these situations to successfully strike with his Devil Fruit techniques.
In 1v1 duels against competent opponents, Law is not even as effective. Granted, he remains a highly dangerous foe for anyone who isn’t a full-fledged top-tier fighter. As for Sanji, he lacks Conqueror’s Haki, and his Armament Haki is not particularly strong. This means that he can’t block Law’s special techniques.
One Piece has already shown Law using the Ope-Ope Fruit to subdue Sanji rather effortlessly, in the Punk Hazard Arc. The very second that Sanji leaves himself open, the same thing could happen again. Still, Sanji can use his Observation Haki to predict Law’s moves.
Most of Law’s techniques ignore durability, thus bypassing Sanji’s exoskeleton. It won’t be easy, but the moment the “Death Surgeon” lands a blow on Sanji he will win the battle, as he will damage him enough to get another hit, this time with Shock Wille or Puncture Wille.
Verdict: Law wins with high difficulty.
2) Sanji vs Zoro
A master swordsman who aims to become the World’s Strongest, Roronoa Zoro is Luffy's loyal right-hand man and the second-in-command of the Straw Hat Pirates. Due to their radically opposite personalities, Zoro and Sanji have a hilarious rivalry, with their squabbles resulting in funny gags. When it comes to fighting, however, Zoro is stronger than Sanji.
The One Piece manga and supplementary sources explicitly recognize Zoro as the undisputed second-strongest member of the Straw Hats. Essentially, Zoro is to Luffy what Silvers Rayleigh was to Gol D. Roger. Since Zoro can now use the Advanced Conqueror’s Haki, which Kaido described as the signature power of the absolute strongest, the gap between him and Sanji has only widened.
The difference in power between Zoro and Sanji is about the same as the one that separates Luffy from Law and Kid. Sanji’s exoskeleton and flaming kicks would be worthless against Zoro’s superior attacking power. Already high enough to permanently damage Kaido’s body, Zoro’s firepower skyrocketed after his latest power-up. Even King, a Lunarian, couldn’t resist Zoro’s Haoshoku Haki.
Speed wouldn't help Sanji, as Zoro is very good at reacting to fast fighters. When King used his special speed-based mode, Zoro was able to counterattack him in the blink of an eye. Zoro also flawlessly dodged and counterattacked Lucci, a Rokushiki master and Awakened Zoan user renowned for his speed. Skilled enough to block Sanji's kicks, Zoro is also tough enough to endure them.
Zoro can use all three types of Haki, two of which are in their advanced versions, while Sanji can only use the two most basic Haki forms and is unable to use Haoshoku. Sanji was recently able to stop an attack from an Admiral, which was impressive, but Zoro had already accomplished a similar feat against an Admiral 400 chapters before, in the long-ago Dressrosa Arc.
Vastly outclassed in Haki, Sanji would be on the ropes as soon as Zoro unleashes the Haoshoku-amped versions of Dragon Twister, Death Lion Song, or Billion-Fold World Trichiliocosm. That’s not even counting Zoro's King of Hell Style and Nine-Sword Style: Asura. These moves grant Zoro a peak power that Sanji’s Ifrit Jambe can’t realistically compete with.
Verdict: Zoro wins with medium-high difficulty.
1) Sanji vs Luffy
Monkey D. Luffy is now one of the most powerful One Piece characters. He can use the advanced versions of all three types of Haki, as well as increase the speed, raw strength, and elasticity of his rubber-like body with the Gear transformations. He was able to fend off Kizaru and Saturn simultaneously, and even defeated the mighty Kaido, earning himself a place among the Yonko.
Tapping into his newfound Gear 5 form, Luffy can alter both his body and the surroundings at will, much like the fabled “Sun God” Nika. Despite being a strong fighter himself, Sanji has no chance of winning against his captain. With his Advanced Conqueror’s Haki, Luffy can easily overpower Sanji.
Luffy can also use Advanced Observation Haki to predict Sanji’s moves and Advanced Armament Haki to hurt him from the inside, negating the exoskeleton. In all fairness, the exoskeleton wouldn't matter anyway, as Luffy's Haoshoku-infused techniques would break through it head-on.
Simply put, Luffy is just too strong for Sanji. The difference in power is so great that Luffy could probably beat him without needing Gear 4, let alone Gear 5. It's important to note that this isn't the result of Sanji being weak, but the result of Luffy being incredibly powerful.
In the latest One Piece arc, Saint Saturn easily subdued Sanji, rendering him unable to move. When Saturn used the same technique against Luffy, the latter quickly broke free. Later, Bonney, Franky, and Sanji hit Luffy with all their strength to boost his momentum. Sanji and the others had to strike Luffy as if they wanted to kill him.
Sanji used Ifrit Jambe: Hell Memories, his absolute strongest technique, and yet couldn’t slow down Luffy, let alone damage him significantly, even with Bonney and Franky’s power added to his own. Luffy easily endured the force of their combined attack, converting it into energy. Sanji can’t really hurt Luffy, which makes a hypothetical fight between them totally one-sided.
Verdict: Luffy wins with low difficulty.
