Mission: Yozakura Family episode 11 recap

Mutsumi Yozakura welcomes Taiyo and Futaba to the Yozakura mansion after they return from an intense training session. She invites them to look at an album she found while cleaning. Mutsumi reveals it's a picture album from the time when Nanao cleared his Spy License exam.

Upon inquiry, Taiyo finds out that the Spy License is a privilege awarded by the Spy Association if a candidate passes the test. A holder of a Spy License can get numerous benefits, such as lucrative missions, spy pensions, and others.

Moreover, there are three ranks, from bronze to gold, with the highest offering more privilege. Taiyo decides to take the exam. Elsewhere, Ayaka wails for accidentally glitching Shion's giant screen.

Suddenly, a ghostly figure appears on the screen, which petrifies Futaba. The episode reveals that Futaba fears ghosts and curses since she cannot defeat them with her Aikido. With Futaba cooped up in a corner, the siblings begin to babysit her.

Later during bedtime, Taiyo and Futaba share a thoughtful discussion, where the girl apologizes to Taiyo for showing her vulnerable state. She also wishes him luck on his Spy License test.

Following that, the episode shifts to the Spy License exam's venue, where Taiyo Asano completes the first hurdle. At break time, a candidate attacks Taiyo due to the bounty placed on his head.

However, a spy, named Tsukiyo Hoshifuru saves the boy. Interestingly, the blonde-haired spy flirts with Taiyo. Mutsumi then reveals that Tsukiyo is renowned as a playboy in the spy world, who flirts with almost anyone, regardless of age and gender.

Nevertheless, Taiyo takes on the remaining challenges and successfully completes them. However, in the final test, he lands on a peril, when a candidate pushes him aside.

Tsukiyo saves Taiyo from disqualifying the round at the expense of his own place. But the boy grabs the blonde-haired spy's hands, refusing to let him get disqualified because of his shortcomings.

Eventually, it's revealed that Tsukiyo Hoshifuru is an exam proctor, who was assigned to oversee Taiyo Asano's tests. He feels a spy must have humanity above all else, something which the boy showcased. The episode ends with Tsukiyo awarding Taiyo the bronze Spy License.

According to the preview shown at the end of the latest installment, Mission: Yozakura Family episode 12 is titled Prison Break Grandpa. The episode will likely focus on Ban, the grandfather of the Yozakura family.

If Mission: Yozakura Family episode 12 follows the manga, fans can expect to see Ban take his grandkids (Mutsumi and Taiyo) to a club to celebrate their wedding. However, Kyoichiro will try his best to prevent that from happening.
