Jack Roosevelt Robinson was a legend in baseball. A 2nd baseman, he was responsible for breaking the color barrier and segregation in baseball. He played for the Brooklyn Dodgers in MLB.

Jackie Robinson was born on January 31, 1919, in Cairo, Georgia. He used to play baseball in the Negro Leagues before making the jump to MLB. He made his MLB debut on April 15, 1947, for the Brooklyn Dodgers. He was a 6-time All-Star from 1949 to 1954. Apart from this, he was also MLB Rookie of the Year in 1947, and NL MVP in 1949, He was also a 2-time NL stolen base leader in 1947 and 1949.

Jackie Robinson achieved a batting average of .311 with 137 home runs, 734 RBI, 197 stolen bases, .409 OBP and .883 OPS. He was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1962. He passed away on October 24, 1972, in Stamford, Connecticut.
