Joshua Evan Bell, also known by his nickname, ‘JB’, is an American professional baseball player. He currently plays as a first baseman for the Miami Marlins in Major League Baseball (MLB). He was born on August 14, 1992, in Irving, Texas, U.S.

Bell attended Jesuit College Preparatory School of Dallas. He committed to attend the University of Texas at Austin but he was selected in the 2011 Major League draft by the Pittsburgh Pirates. He was selected in the second round and was the 61st overall pick. He was assigned to the minor league teams and has since risen through the ranks. He was an All-Star in 2019 and won the Silver Slugger Award in 2022.

Before joining the Marlins, he also played for the Pittsburgh Pirates, Washington Nationals, San Diego Padres and the Cleveland Guardians.
