Sandy Alcantara is a Dominican professional baseball pitcher for the Miami Marlins in Major League Baseball (MLB). He previously played for the St. Louis Cardinals in the MLB.
Sandy signed as an international free agent with the Cardinals in 2013 and made his MLB debut in 2017. Sandy was the only Miami Marlins player nominated to the 2019 MLB All-Star Game. He topped the National League and all pitchers in both leagues. He won the 2022 NL Cy Young Award unanimously, defeating second-place pitcher, Max Fried.
