Shohei Ohtani is a Japanese professional baseball designated hitter and pitcher for the Los Angeles Dodgers in Major League Baseball (MLB). A former player of the Hokkaido-Nippon Ham Fighters in the Nippon Professional Baseball (NPB), Shohei Ohtani won the Japan Series Championship with the team in 2016. He made his MLB debut with the Los Angeles Angels on March 29, 2019, and started playing for the Los Angeles Dodgers from the 2024 MLB season.
