Simply put, no, the Black Ops 6 Zombies Cryptic teasers aren't real. Activision confirmed that these cryptic teasers are from a third party and have no affiliation with it or Call of Duty. The publisher reached out to CoD content creators who were sharing these teasers believing them to be real and confirmed they were indeed fakes curated by a third party and had nothing to do with Activision.

We take a closer look at the entire Black Ops 6 Zombies Cryptic teaser story and how it all played out to make even the veterans fall for the fakes.

Everything fans need to know about the fake Black Ops 6 Zombies Cryptic teasers

The origin of the fake Black Ops 6 Zombies Cryptic teasers can be traced back to Reddit. A post titled Unfound Terminal Easter Egg in Cold War? appeared on the Black Ops Cold War subreddit. It was shared by VariousYak6826 and has since been removed.

In the post, the user claimed they were messing around with the Black Cold War terminal in-game and then left it as is for a while. When they returned to their game the next day, it showed them an error. This image was then observed by many veterans in the community, and they found an email in the cryptic text that read "[email protected]".

Soon, players in the community and the content creators believed the email was put into Black Ops Cold War by Treyarch as an Easter Egg hunt for new teasers for their upcoming game. This was completely unexpected and got fans of the series excited about the Black Ops 6 Zombies Cryptic teasers.

They started sending emails to the address mentioned above and received responses in the form of multiple images.

Upon inspecting these images, the community concluded that these were teasers from the upcoming Black Ops 6 Zombies mode. What made these claims even stronger was that there was an image for Harper's Ferry, which is believed to be the location on which the upcoming Liberty Falls map of BO6 Zombies was based.

Unfortunately, none of these were real. When Call of Duty content creators took to social media platforms to share their findings, Activision contacted them to confirm that these teasers and images were fake and the email ID from which the images were received was not affiliated with the publisher.

However, the community didn't believe Activision at first. So, they looked up the website "cy83r14.net" and found that the website isn't registered by Activision and was created only a few days ago by an unknown person, concluding that these Black Ops 6 Zombies Cryptic teasers were nothing more than just an elaborate prank.
