Call of Duty has finally announced The Haunting event for Warzone and MW3. The Halloween special in-game event has been a fan-favorite since the Verdansk days in Warzone, and this year, it's returning right before Black Ops 6's release. The FPS behemoth has released a teaser for the upcoming event, and it seems like fans are in for a treat in Warzone and MW3's upcoming season.

When does The Haunting event start in Warzone and MW3?

The Haunting event will officially begin on September 18, 2024. That is the same day when Warzone and MW3 Season 6 will release. Hence, we can expect that a large amount of the upcoming season's content will be Halloween themed. From brand new in-game events to major overhauls in both the battle royale and multiplayer modes, there will be a lot to explore in Warzone and MW3's The Haunting event.


Michael Myers returns in The Haunted in Warzone and MW3

Previously, we've seen several Halloween-themed characters featured in Call of Duty. From Diablo's Lilith to Alucard from the Hellsing manga and anime series, there have been several crossovers in the game. This time, the trailer has also provided a glimpse of the Halloween slasher film series' character, Michael Myers, who is returning as an operator in Warzone and MW3.


Art the Clown from Terrifier is coming to The Haunted in Warzone and MW3

Aside from Michael Myers, the notorious Art the Clown from the Terrifier franchise is also coming to Warzone and MW3 as a playable operator. Fans who've known him in the Terrifier film series will remember that the character is known for gore and violence in the movies. Moreover, the demonic killer clown is one of the most disturbing characters in movie history.

With Call of Duty bringing him to Warzone and MW3, there is no doubt that the FPS franchise wants to celebrate Halloween by making the games as terrifying as possible.
