Boogie Fland is an American who plays collegiate basketball for the SEC's Florida Gators. Last season, he was a freshman for the Arkansas Razorbacks. Fland was ranked as a five-star recruit by ESPN and Rivals and as a four-star prospect by 247Sports. He was ranked among the top 25 players in the class of 2024 by all three. Boogie Fland was among the 25 contenders for the Kyle Macy Award, which honors the best freshman in the country. CollegeInsider.com named him a Freshman All-American, and on December 16, he was selected SEC Freshman of the Week. During his first season, Fland averaged 18.0 points, 8.0 assists, and 3.5 steals.
He had around 30 recruiting offers from NCAA Division 1 basketball programs going into his senior year. In October 2023, following three visits from John Calipari in September and October, he decided to play collegiate basketball for Kentucky rather than Alabama or Indiana. After John Calipari left Kentucky to take a coaching job at Arkansas, he decommitted on April 15, 2024. In the end, he decided to join Calipari and, on April 25, 2024, he committed to play at Arkansas.
