
Dylan Harper played as a guard for the Rutgers Scarlet Knights men’s basketball team in the Big Ten Conference in the 2024/25 season. It was Harper's freshman season, and after that, he made himself eligible for the 2025 NBA draft. Harper was a standout player for the NY Rens in the Nike EYBL, averaging 19.5 points, 6.7 rebounds, and 4.9 assists per game. At the FIBA U-19 World Cup in Hungary, he played for USA Basketball, representing the United States and contributing 3.0 assists, 4.6 rebounds, and 9.3 points per game.
Harper was the first player to win the McDonald's All-American MVP award in Rutgers history. Additionally, he guided Don Bosco Prep to the NJSIAA State Final at Jersey Mike's Arena and took home the MVP award from the John Wall Holiday Invitational. Harper won Morgan Wooton McDonald's National High School Player of the Year and MVP of the Jordan Brand Classic. Major recruiting organizations ranked Harper as one of the best players in the 2024 class and a consensus five-star prospect. In the summer before his senior year began, ESPN ranked him as the top prospect overall for the class of 2024. Harper turned down scholarships from Duke, Kansas, Indiana, and Auburn to play collegiate basketball for Rutgers.
