
Dylan Harper played basketball as a guard for the Rutgers Scarlet Knights in the Big Ten Conference in the 2024/25 season. He is now eligible for the 2025 NBA draft. The five-star recruit and one of the top players in the 2024 class, Harper, was ranked the number one overall recruit for the class of 2024 by ESPN ahead of the beginning of his senior year. He was also enlisted in the United States under-19 basketball team to play in the 2023 FIBA Under-19 Basketball World Cup. Harper led Team USA to finish fourth in the tournament. In the 2024-25 season, he is the only freshman in the Big Ten Conference named to the All-Preseason Big Ten Team. Harper's basketball journey began at Don Bosco Preparatory High School. During his junior year in high school, Harper averaged 24.9 points, six rebounds, three assists, and two steals per game. Dylan Harper was named the Boys Basketball Player of the Year by NJ.com. As he entered his senior year, Harper averaged 22.4 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 2.7 assists per game and led the Ironmen to a 29-3 record and a NJSIAA Non-Public A state championship. He played Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) basketball for the New York Renaissance.
