The NCAA Division I men’s basketball tournament, popularly known as March Madness determines the NCAA basketball men’s tournament champion every year. This tournament takes place from March - April every year, after the completion of the regular season and postseason.
The 2025 season will be the 86th edition of March Madness. Once champions of different conferences are determined, the NCAA Basketball Tournament, also known as the March Madness, will begin. Conference champions and the wildcard entries will be seeded in different regions, which will eventually compete to ascend to the top to become the national champions. In the final game, the two remaining basketball teams will battle it out, and the last remaining team will become the NCAA men’s basketball champion of 2025.
Availability of March Madness Brackets
The brackets for the 2025 March Madness, as per the NCAA, have not been released. The final selection of the entire bracket for the 68 teams will be released on April 16, 2025, also commonly known as Selection Sunday.
The bracket will first include the First Four. Then, the 64 teams will be divided into four regions that will compete to win the regional finals. Once the first four regional winners are determined, they will proceed to the Final Four or the national semifinals. From these semifinals, the two winners will advance to the finals.
Finally, the national championship game will be played on April 7, 2025, and the champion for the year will be determined.

UConn Huskies, Alabama Crimson Tide, Purdue Boilermakers, and NC State Wolfpack were the four teams that advanced from the brackets and played in the Final Fours. From there, the UConn Huskies and the Purdue Boilermakers advanced to the finals. The Huskies beat the Boilermakers to become the NCAA champions for the sixth time in 2024.
