During his junior year in 2021, he showcased his skills by rushing for 1,688 yards and scoring 24 touchdowns, along with 368 receiving yards and four touchdowns. His senior year in 2022 was particularly impressive, as he accumulated 2,434 all-purpose yards and 36 touchdowns. This included 1,518 rushing yards with 27 touchdowns, 472 receiving yards with six touchdowns, and 444 return yards with three touchdowns.

Cabana was ranked as one of the top running backs in the nation, receiving a four-star rating from multiple outlets, including ESPN and Rivals.com. His speed was a standout feature, with reported 40-yard dash times as low as 4.34 seconds, which caught the attention of college scouts and coaches alike, his high school coach Phil Jacobs compared him to NFL star Christian McCaffrey.
