He burst onto the scene at a very young age and made his debut for India at 17. He was considered as the next big thing, but sadly he couldn't live up to the billing at the international stage. Chawla performed rather poorly for India and found success only in IPL. In fact, he is the third highest wicket-taker in IPL and there is no harm in calling him an IPL great.

The UP born lad has 140 wickets in IPL and is only 14 behind Malinga and six behind Amit Mishra. With both of them aged 35, Chawla has a great chance to become the top wicket-taker in IPL history.
