Punjab Kings (PBKS) were eliminated from IPL 2023 after a defeat against the Rajasthan Royals last night at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium. The Kings needed a big win against the Royals to keep themselves alive in the competition, but they ended up losing the match by four wickets.

When the IPL 2023 Auction ended, PBKS were among the favorites to finish in the top 4 of the points table. They had some of the best hitters of the ball in their squad, namely Liam Livingstone, Shikhar Dhawan, Jitesh Sharma, Prabhsimran Singh, Bhanuka Rajapaksa, Shahrukh Khan, Sikandar Raza, and Sam Curran.

Still, PBKS managed only six wins in 14 matches and finished in the lower half of the standings. While the Kings could not qualify for the playoffs, their batters played some fantastic shots in the league round.

On that note, here's a look at the five best shots played by their batters in IPL 2023 so far.

#1 Liam Livingstone's 101m hit against Khaleel Ahmed

Liam Livingstone is one of the finest hitters of the ball in T20 cricket right now. The England all-rounder has made a name for himself with his towering sixes. In a recent match between Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals at the HPCA Stadium, Livingstone scored 94 runs.

He whacked nine sixes in his innings, including a 101m long hit against Khaleel Ahmed. Despite Livingstone's best efforts, PBKS lost that match by 15 runs.

#2 Prabhsimran Singh clears the long boundary against Kuldeep Yadav

Before hosting DC for a match in Dharamsala, PBKS visited Delhi's Arun Jaitley Stadium for a match against the Capitals. The pitch helped the spinners, and the majority of the batters struggled against the DC bowlers.

Prabhsimran Singh fought like a lone warrior and scored a century for PBKS. The Punjab batter smacked a 91m six against Kuldeep Yadav, clearing the longer boundary at the Arun Jaitley Stadium.

#3 Harpreet Brar stuns the crowd at Eden Gardens

Kolkata Knight Riders hosted Punjab Kings for a match at Eden Gardens on May 8. PBKS slumped to 139/7 in the first innings. Harpreet Brar then came out to bat at number nine. He joined hands with Shahrukh Khan to add 40 runs for the eighth wicket.

Brar hit one six in his nine-ball 17. Playing against Harshit Rana, Brar stunned the fans at Eden Gardens with a 90m hit that cleared the leg-side boundary.

#4 Prabhsimran Singh sends Wanindu Hasaranga's delivery into the stands

RCB battled against PBKS in an afternoon match during the IPL 2023 league stage. Wanindu Hasaranga was a part of RCB's playing XI in that game.

Hasaranga is one of the world's best spinners right now, but uncapped batter Prabhsimran Singh did not hesitate to dance down the wicket and smack a delivery from him straight into the stands. The ball traveled a distance of 101m as Singh earned six runs.

#5 Shahrukh Khan hits Mark Wood for a 89m six

The pitch at Lucknow's Bharat Ratna Shree Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Stadium has been the toughest to bat on this season, but PBKS batter Shahrukh Khan played a match-winning knock for his team on that surface against the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in one of the IPL 2023 league games.

The majority of the batters took time to get settled in the middle in that IPL 2023 game. However, Shahrukh Khan sent the first ball that he faced from Mark Wood for a 89m six. It was one of the best shots of the tournament by a PBKS batter.
