5 Players who were most successful after they shifted IPL teams

Will he win a third IPL this year?

4.Chris Gayle(KKR to RCB)

Chris Gayle just could not win the IPL in 10 years

The big Jamaican played for the Kolkata Knight Riders in the first three seasons of the IPL but just did not look the batsman he is known for. In 2011, a chance to play for Royal Challengers Bangalore turned his IPL career around.

In his very first game for the franchise, the 37-year-old slammed a hundred, incidentally against his former side at his former home ground to lead his new team to a thumping win.

During the course of the next six seasons with the side, the left-hander provided several thrilling moments, including the highest individual in T20 history of 175 that he smashed against the Pune Warriors India at home in 2013.

Despite his pyrotechnics, however, the team just could not win the IPL, coming close on two occasions in 2011 and 2016. The 2017 season has been a forgettable one for him and one can only hope that he gets another chance to scale new heights next year.

Kolkata Knight Riders(2008-2010): Matches: 16, Runs,463

Royal Challengers Bangalore(2011-Present): 90 matches, 3372 runs
