Aiden Markram is a professional cricket all-rounder who represents the South African national cricket team across all international formats. He was born on October 04, 1994 in Centurion, Gauteng, South Africa. Markram was the first South African captain who won the Under-19 World Cup in 2014. After his successful stint in age group cricket, he made his domestic debut for the Northern Cricket Team on October 09, 2014. He also won South Africa’ s Domestic Newcomer of the Year Award in 2017.
Aiden Markram made his international debut against Bangladesh in Test cricket in September 2017. In the same series, he made his ODI debut. Markram played his first T20I in March 2019 against Sri Lanka. His first international hundred came against Bangladesh in Bloemfontein test on October 06, 2017. He also becomes South Africa’s first captain to reach the ICC T20 World Cup final in 2024. In the SA20, he won two back-to-back seasons with Sunrisers Eastern Cape in 2022 and 2023. In the IPL, he started his IPL career with Punjab Kings in 2021. As of March 2025, he is playing for the Lucknow Super Giants in the IPL 2025.
