South Africa's opening batsman Hashim Amla has overtaken Zaheer Abbas to become the fastest player to reach 2000 ODI runs. Zaheer Abbas had held the record from 1983 which got broken in 2011 when Amla just took 40 innings to achieve this feat. The recent inclusions in the top 10 list are Shai Hope and Jonny Bairstow.
