After winning just one of their first six matches, Delhi Daredevils will host Kolkata Knight Riders in their second home match of the season on 27th April.

Due to poor performance as a captain and a batsman, Gautam Gambhir stepped down from captaincy and handed over the reigns to Shreyas Iyer hoping that it will turn their fortunes around.

Gambhir is likely to sit out of Delhi's game against Kolkata and the Shreyas Iyer-led team is set to make at least one change for the clash. Let us take a look at how their playing XI will be for their seventh game of the season.

Prithvi Shaw: The captain of the Indian team in the 2018 under-19 World Cup, Prithvi Shaw made his IPL debut in Delhi Daredevils' previous game against Kings XI Punjab. He got his team off to a flying start by scoring a 10-ball 22. He will be looking to get his team off to a flying start yet again in their match against Kolkata Knight Riders.

Rishabh Pant: Rishabh Pant has been Delhi Daredevils' best batsman so far this season. The southpaw has been batting in the middle order for the Delhi outfit and still, he is successful. With Gautam Gambhir likely to sit out of the Delhi playing XI, Pant might be given the nod to open the batting, a position that suits him the best.

Shreyas Iyer: With Gautam Gambhir stepping down as the Delhi Daredevils captain, Shreyas Iyer has been given the responsibility of leading the side. Shreyas is having a good IPL and he will hope that the captaincy doesn't affect his batting and will look to lead his side from the front.

Glenn Maxwell: Australian batsman Glenn Maxwell is yet to set the 2018 IPL on fire as he has been getting out cheaply on a consistent basis. The team management will hope that Maxwell stands up and delivers for the team in the upcoming games, especially given their fragile middle order.

Gurkeerat Mann Singh: Not many remember that Gurkeerat Mann has played international cricket for India. He has been on the sidelines throughout the season but is likely to get the nod ahead of Naman Ojha and Vijay Shankar in the Delhi Daredevils playing XI.

Dan Christian: One of the biggest concerns for the Delhi Daredevils is the form of their all-rounder Chris Morris. With the South African now out of the IPL, it is expected that his replacement, Junior Dala, won't join the first XI straightaway. In his absence, the Daredevils are likely to bring back T20 veteran Dan Christian.

Rahul Tewatia: Rahul Tewatia is another player who has been consistently doing well for Delhi Daredevils in the 2018 IPL. The all-rounder is contributing well with both bat and ball and will look to continue the same in the team's upcoming matches.

Liam Plunkett: Liam Plunkett, who came in as a replacement for an injured Kagiso Rabada, made his IPL debut against Kings XI Punjab and had a huge impact in the game and almost took Delhi to victory by restricting the visitors to a partly score. The veteran will look to make the ball talk when he takes the field against Kolkata Knight Riders.

Amit Mishra: Amit Mishra has been an integral part of the Delhi Daredevils unit for a while now. The spinner was retained via RTM card and has been having a below-average IPL season this year as he was dropped after the first match and returned to the side after spending a few matches on the sidelines. He should step up and should justify Delhi's decision to use an RTM card for him.

Trent Boult: Trent Boult has been Delhi's best bowler this season as he has always struck with the new ball for the franchise. He will continue to lead the pace attack and set a platform for his fellow bowlers to capitalise.

Avesh Khan: Madhya Pradesh pacer Avesh Khan was quite impressive with his bowling in his 2018 IPL debut against Kings XI as he displayed a fine exhibition of pace bowling. He will retain his place in the side and will look to give his team a good start with the ball.
