IPL 2018, KKR vs RR: Rajasthan Royals(RR) probable playing XI against Kolkata Knight Riders(KKR)

With a commanding seven-wicket win over the Mumbai Indians on Sunday, the Rajasthan Royals kept themselves in contention to make it to the Playoffs of the 2018 Indian Premier League.

Next up for the Ajinkya Rahane-led side is a visit to the Eden Gardens to take on the Kolkata Knight Riders, who, too, have to win in order to stay alive.

Here's how the visitors could line up on Tuesday:

Jos Buttler(WK): First name in the XI and the franchise's best player. Buttler's form has been sublime with five consecutive fifties in the last five matches and they will hope he can continue that purple patch in the remaining league matches as well.

Ajinkya Rahane(C): With no D'acry Short in the line-up, Rahane can move up to his prefered spot and hopefully, with Buttler, get the side off to a good start.

Sanju Samson: The right-hander will have a big role to play and will need to show the form he did against the Royal Challengers Bangalore a month ago in this contest and moving further.

Ben Stokes: After the high of 2017, Stokes has failed to deliver for the Royals this year both with bat and ball and will have to step up at the business end of the competition.

Prashant Chopra: The Himachal Pradesh right-hander who has played just one game in the competition, could get another look in on Tuesday and will look to grab his chance.

Stuart Binny: Barring the 22 against the Chennai Super Kings at home, the all-rounder has done little of note otherwise and will look to make a bigger contribution both with bat and ball.

Jofra Archer: The team's trump card. Archer is the Royals' highest wicket-taker this season and his role with the ball on Tuesday will be vital if the side is to win.

Krishnappa Gowtham: While all the talk has surrounding Buttler and others, K Gowtham has slipped in the performances with the ball with eight wickets in 12 matches and Rahane will hope for a good performance from him Tuesday.

Ish Sodhi: The man Short should replace in the line-up. The Knight Riders contain a lot of right-handers with the likes of Chris Lynn Robin Uthappa, Dinesh Karthik, etc and he could be a handful against them.

Jaydev Unadkat: The team's second best bowler with nine wickets to his name, Rahane will bank on Unadakat to deliver the goods on Tuesday.

Dhawal Kulkarni: On an Eden Gardens wicket that has suited the quicks in recent times, Kulkarni could cause some early damage and we have seen in the past that once he gets an early wicket, he usually goes on to take a couple more to put the opposition on the backfoot.
