Andrew Tye - 2018's Purple Cap holder had 24 wickets in the whole season. To put it context, Kagiso Rabada already has 21 and he has at least 4 matches left this season and with Delhi looking good in the points table, he will probably play a match or two extra.

Rabada has been in tremendous form this season. He already has two 4-wicket hauls this season and he has taken at least 2 wickets in seven of the matches that he has played. With such consistency, we can quite safely assume that he quite capable of breaking this record.

He has picked up big wickets too and his bowling in the death has been superb. Delhi Capitals are left with 4 matches and they are most likely going to make it to the play offs which gives Rabada at least five matches. He just needs 12 wickets to break the record and a five-for for in any match will make it very easy for him.

With such skill and talent involved in the game, we can see these records being broken quite soon in this season.
