#4 Iqbal Abdulla - 2011
In 2011, the Kolkata Knight Riders had a secret weapon in their arsenal and his name was Iqbal Abdulla. The young lad from Azamgarh never ceased to surprise the fans and more importantly, the opposition.
Abdulla, a left-arm spinner, left the world in awe of his magical spells. His ability to turn the ball on unlikely tracks was applauded and rightfully earned him the award of the Emerging Player of the tournament.
Abdulla then moved to Rajasthan Royals before making a switch to the Royal Challengers of Bangalore. In 2017, Abdulla was released and never made his way back to the IPL.
He is seen playing in the Ranji Trophy for Mumbai.
#5 Mandeep Singh - 2012
We all know Mandeep Singh for his time with the Royal Challengers Bangalore, but little did the world know that Mandeep was previously associated with Kings XI Punjab, a team he'll be playing for in the upcoming season of IPL.
Mandeep was recognized as a technically gifted batsman who flourished with the Punjab outfit. Mandeep scored runs consistently and was one of the star performers of his side.
He later moved to RCB where he spent 4 years before returning to Punjab for the 2019 edition of the popular T20 League.
