Murali Vijay was handed over the reins of Kings XI Punjab in IPL 2016. He didn’t disappoint his fans and his team as he played multiple top-class innings. With a strike rate of 124.45, Vijay made 453 runs in 14 innings.

Vijay struck 50 boundaries and 10 sixes through the season, and notched up 5 half centuries at an average of 34.84.

#7 Ajinkya Rahane (Rising Pune Supergiant)

In IPL 2016, many overseas players of the Rising Pune Supergiant were ruled out due to injury. But Ajinkya Rahane did pretty well to keep RPS in the race for the playoffs, scoring 480 runs in 14 innings.

Rahane compiled his runs at a strike rate of 126.64 and an average of 43.63. Also, he smashed 6 half centuries and notched up 54 boundaries and 9 sixes.
