Visitors lost their opening batsman Rahane in 3rd over. After that early shock, Pune managed to score 50 runs for second wicket partnership. After losing 2 wickets quickly, Pune was struggling at 75 for 3 wickets. Smith played a crucial knock of 38 runs off 26 balls. Visitors managed to score 152 runs.

Punjab’s opening batsman played brilliantly and scored 97 runs for opening partnership. KXIP lost Manan Vohra in 13th over but that time it was too late for Pune. But wait, it wasn’t over for Pune. In 15th over M. Ashwin picked 2 wickets, one was Shaun Marsh and another was Murli Vijay. Murli Vijay was looking good at that time. After losing Shaun Marsh in that over Murli Vijay smashed M. Ashwin for a six but one six wasn’t enough for him and he tried to cut the leg spinner and got out. KXIP got themselves in trouble, from 97-0 to 97-3.

When Murli Vijay was dismissed at the end of the 15th over, KXIP were left to score 41 runs from 30 balls. Things became tighter when M. Ashwin got David Miller out. 'The Big Show' started and Maxwell was the man who brought Punjab their first victory. He scored 32 runs off just 14 balls.

Well, it is the good news for Punjab that with these two points now they are not at the bottom of the table. Pune is at 5th position.

Royal Challengers Bangalore and Delhi Daredevils, 11th Match, IPL 2016

Both teams were highly confident after winning their previous matches respectively. Delhi won the toss and decided to bowl first. RCB lost their opening batsman Gayle in the very first over of the game. It was Zaheer Khan who sent Gayle to the pavilion before he could score any run. Zaheer khan proved his prowess by removing the danger man Chris Gayle early. A hundred run second wicket partnership between captain Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers earned RCB 191/5. After departing AB de Villiers in 12th over , bowlers of Delhi tried to have a grip on the match. But it was not enough. Shane Watson played a fiery inning of 33 runs in 19 balls. In 17th over Shami got the prized wicket of Shane Watson. In the same over he made a brilliant effort to run out Sarfaraz Khan and this run out proved fruitful for Delhi. In the last 22 balls, they managed to score only 21 runs.

RCB always struggled about their bowling department. We can say that they have strong batting lineup but equally weak bowling lineup. And seeing this bowling lineup this total wasn't good for them. But it was Quinton de Kock who made sure that their team shouldn't go empty-handed. He played extraordinary cricket and scored his first ever IPL century. Delhi was always ahead in the game, all thanks to Quinton de Kock. He scored 108 runs in 51 balls. Meanwhile, Karun Nair also scored a crucial fifty. At the end of this entertaining, match DD won the match by 7 wickets. Now they are at the third position in the table and pushed RCB at 4th.

If we exclude Shane Watson and talk about RCB's bowling, we can say RCB has the weakest bowling lineup. They need to do something about it or they need to score 220+ runs in every match which is pretty hard to do.

The only good thing which happened to RCB in the second inning is Watson-Wiese's catch. On the last ball of the first over, Daredevils opener Shreyas Iyer stepped out and mistimed a big hit. The ball went high in the air towards the long-on boundary. Shane Watson sprinted back, judged it perfectly. His momentum, however, carried him towards the boundary and he looked to be crossing it. But Watson flicked it backward just before going over the edge. David Wiese, who followed Watson from mid-off, dived, grabbed the ball and finished inches from away from the rope himself. This was one of the best catches in IPL.
